Helping people is the number one reason that I started my business as a financial agent.
When my parents retired in the mid 90’s, they didn’t have anyone in their life to help guide them about their financial choices, educate them about the critical planning decisions they should be aware of, and no one to help them create a financial plan for the rest of their lives.
For me, having an open and honest conversation is the most important part of the process. I will meet you where you are and my non-judgemental approach will give you the compassionate, supportive, and educational guidance you need so that we can build a relationship based on trust and knowledge. I wish my parents had had that when they retired, and that’s what I offer my clients.
Our roles are very important in our relationship. As the educator in that relationship, I offer guidance to my clients in understanding all of the information that’s available to us and how it applies to your specific situation. You are probably among the many people that don’t understand that there is a finite amount of money that comes into your life and that it’s up to you where you allocate it.
Maximizing the value of those economic decisions by simplifying the conversation helps to alleviate some of the stress and pressure of the unknown. My process walks clients through that conversation and enables them to make the decisions that have the best impact on their situation. Strategies can vary for good reason. Everyone’s situation and goals are different. I will always act with your best interests in mind, and will help guide your decisions. You are always the decision maker in that relationship. It’s important for you to understand that I make recommendations; I do not tell you how to spend your money.
We’ll use this time to determine what your objectives are and get a great understanding of what your current financial situation is and what you’d like it to be. We’ll have a conversation about where you are spending your money and what limitations are keeping you from maximizing your economic potential.
During these sessions, we’ll set a plan to help you reach your goals for 3, 5, and 10 years out, or the sequence of time that works best for you. We’ll also talk through YOUR why? Why are you reaching out to a financial solutions provider so that we can make sure that we are on the same page and help achieve your goals.
During these sessions we’ll take a look at what you’re actually spending, what you should be spending, and what you want to be spending. We’ll also talk through what is keeping you up at night, financially and what is causing you financial stress. Horizon Financial Solutions will work with you to make sure you have the most financial protection as possible so that you’re prepared if something unplanned for occurs.
At this time and through these sessions, we’ll establish our working relationship. My goal is to be your financial confidant, where I’ll help you determine the best decisions to make and will be requesting feedback when you implement these changes and will do my best to educate you to make the best possible budgeting decisions. We’ll set a schedule of check-ins to evaluate and re-evaluate your financial decisions.
